This consignment shotgun is a Winchester Model 12 in 20 Gauge and is chambered for 2-3/4” shells. Its serial number of 491804 would indicate that it was manufactured in 1927. Serial numbers on the receiver and bottom rear of the magazine tube match.
The 28 inch solid barrel has a fixed full choke. A single bead sight sits at the end of the barrel. This is a NICKEL steel barrel model and those have been the more sought-after variety. It has a pistol grip stock.
The wood is in Very Good condition with signs of normal use, as expected, but with no major defects. The Winchester buttpad is in Excellent condition. The barrel does have some areas of finish loss but the finish is mostly intact. The bore is clean and the barrel is bright. The receiver has finish loss due to the age of the shotgun but still grades as Good. Please review the photos and make sure that you agree.
Overall this is a beautiful, vintage Winchester shotgun and of a quality that we don’t often see.
Purchase includes the shotgun only and no other accessories.
This is a consignment sale and, like all of our consignments, we have not test fired this gun. We have performed our function checks and find no issues to report. As with all pre-owned firearm purchases, please review the photos carefully so that you are fully comfortable with the shotgun.
