Winchester

This is a consignment gun and, honestly, we're a bit surpised that the owner didn't want to set the price higher.  The owner states that he has not fired the shotgun.  While we can't prove or disprove that, we will say that if any shells have cycled through this one, it has not been many.  We don't see a lot of 1300 Defenders and, when we do, they are not as nice as this particular one!

The Winchester Model 1300 Defender is a 12 Gauge pump action shotgun capable of chambering 3" shells, has an 18" barrel with a bead front sight and a magazine capacity of 7+1.  The Serial Number of L2913579 along with some of the other specific features indicate that this was likely manufactured sometime between 1996 and 1998.  It has a matte blued metal finish with a hardwood stock and forend.

The twin action bars show no signs of use.  The magazine tube is like new.  The exterior of the barrel shows no marks with the exception of a very small scratch on the top of the barrel, approximately 3.5" forward of the receiver.  The interior of the barrel is clean and bright.  The bore is clean and bright as well.  The receiver has two minor scrapes on the left side with the remainder of the receiver like new.  All wood is like new except for one very small ding on the left side of the buttstock.  Honestly, we really had to dig to find any flaws.  The butt pad is like new.  We'd describe the marks on the receiver and the stock as nothing more than storage marks.

The entire shotgun grades in like new condition and, as we said earlier, we just don't see them like this.  This would be an effective, reliable and good looking home defense shotgun with a lot of magazine capacity.

This, as mentioned, is a consignment gun and we have not test-fired the weapon.  We have performed all function checks and find so issues at all to mention.  As with all used guns, please review the photos carefully so that you are comfortable with the condition of the gun.
