Winchester

This is a very nice example of a Winchester Model 70, chambered in 7mm Reminton Magnum with a Leupold 3-9 Vari X - II scope mounted and ready to go.

As with all of our consignment guns, we have not fired this one.  However, function check is ok and the lock up is good and tight.

Serial number of the rifle indicates a 1973 manufacture date.  The barrel is bright and the rifling is strong and sharp.  The stock has some scratches but, overall, the wood is in very good condition.  The recoil pad is in like new condition.  The finish has minor scratches, no rust and a very small amount of paint transfer near the end of the barrel.  Also comes with a padded leather sling that is in excellent condition.

A couple of cosmetic issues to note on the rifle and the scope.  The driver's license number of a previous owner has been stenciled on the receiver of the rifle and in one location on the scope.  A few decades back, this was sometimes done to help protect the owner against theft.  The use of of an electro-pencil to do this has not damaged or altered either the rifle or the scope but is a cosmetic blemish that we want to note.

Scope glass is clear and sharp and functions as expected for a good quality Leupold optic.

There's a lot of good life left in this rifle with scope mounted and ready to go at a price considerably below new.  It's definitely worth a look!
