This Thompson Center Encore Pro Hunter chambered in 7mm Rem Mag is a beautiful offering and it really is the complete package. We don't often see this configuration and this rifle should be an absolute tack driver. This is a rifle package that we have on consignment and, like all of our consignment guns, we have not test-fired the rifle. We have performed all function checks and find no issues.
Both the rifle and the scope are in fantastic condition. The single shot rifle features a 26" fluted bronze-colored barrel. The barrel is bright, the rifling is very good and the muzzle crown is like new with no nicks or dings. The receiver and trigger guard are a very attractive stainless finish. The barrel has the Rochester, NH stamp while the receiver is the Springfield, MA version when Thompson Center was a part of Smith & Wesson. The trigger is very light and smooth. The barrel and receiver have no significant flaws, only wear light markings in the area of the scope mount and trigger. The hammer can be easily adjusted to rotate 90 degrees to allow easier cocking with the scope attached.
The stock is a hardwood thumbhole version with pistol grip. Stock is near mint and we'd call it like new except for a very slight ding in the forward area of the pistol grip. Either way, it's glossy, attractive and looks fantastic. A Boyd's buttpad rests at the end of the stock. Overall length of the rifle is approximately 40 inches.
The attached scope is a Nikon Monarch 3 2.5-10 x 42 and is in the same great condition as the rifle. The glass is very clear and the exterior of the scope is near mint. Adjustments on the scope are in 1/4 MOA increments. It is 12.6" long and comes with a ScopeCoat soft cover. The value of just the scope alone is a significant amount.
