Taylors and Company

This consignment Taylor's & Company 1873 Cattleman convertible is a real looker.  The owner tells us that he's put about 100 rounds through it and we'd say that's likely the top end based on our examination.

The 6 shot revolver has a 5.5 inch blued barrel and a case hardened forged steel frame.  Uberti made this one for Taylor's & Company and it carries serial number UZ1995.  The numbers on the frame and both cylinders match, as they should.

Grips are Navy-sized wood, the front side is a blade type and the rear sight is the normal frame notch.  Cylinder changes are easily accomplished by the quick release cylinder pin.

The action is smooth and the trigger is clean and consistent with no take up.  The barrel is very bright and the rifling is crisp and strong.  Bore is clean and bright.  The blued finish is Near Mint.  The grips are Like New.  The case hardening is a really beautiful color.

We really like convertible revolvers so we may be a little biased on this one but it's a beautiful revolver at a really great price.  You'll normally see these selling right around $700.  This revolver is Near Mint, has seen very little use and is a great way to save a lot of money while adding a really attractive single action revolver to your collection.  Take a good look at this one before you pass it by.  It will be worth your time!
