Taurus

Some people call them “pocket pistols”, some people call them “get off me guns”.  Whatever term that you use, you’ve probably seen or fired some of these smaller sized pistols that are designed for deep concealment.  This Taurus PT-22 falls within that category but, being chambered in 22LR, it’s also fun to just shoot.  It won’t beat you up with recoil and the ammo cost is minimal.

Our Taurus PT-22 is serial number ANF41473 and it’s one of the earlier manufactured pistols.  The 2.75” tip-up barrel reminds you of the Beretta 21 Bobcat.  The tip-up feature makes the first round easy to load, especially since the spring on the slide itself is exceptionally heavy due to the straight blowback action.

This pistol is double action only, has fixed sights and an 8 shot magazine.  The frame is steel, unlike the later polymer models.  The grips are an attractive smooth wood style.  A manual safety is located on the left side of the pistol.  The bore is clean and the barrel is bright.  The owner says that, in total, this pistol has seen about 50 or so rounds go through it.  The wood is in Very Good condition with just minor signs of use and handling.  The metal finish is Good and mostly intact.  Please review the photos to make sure that you agree.

Overall, this is a fun little pocket pistol at a great price.  If you’ve been looking for something like this, we don’t think you’ll be disappointed with our Taurus.
