This beautiful, vintage Smith & Wesson 28-2 Highway Patrolman is a real looker. Although it rolled out of the Smith factory in 1973, it sure doesn’t look its age. It proudly wears serial number N191821.
Chambered for the powerful 357 Magnum cartridge, it will (of course) also be right at home firing 38 Special rounds if you’d prefer. The fluted cylinder will hold 6 rounds of the caliber of your choice.
The 6 inch barrel holds a ramp front sight, while the rear sight is adjustable.
The model also has the target hammer and a target trigger, which are shown in the attached photos. Both of these are desirable conditions to an already fantastic model.
The solid wood grips have an embedded Smith & Wesson medallion and are in Excellent condition. The blued finish is also in Excellent condition. The bore is good and the barrel is bright while the rifling appears to be strong as well. The single action trigger pull is light and very nice.
We’re fans of this model. Durable, reliable, classic and fun to shoot. This particular revolver stands out among the other ones that we’ve seen. It’s in fantastic condition and would be an amazing addition to any collection.
Purchase includes the revolver and a zippered, padded soft case.
We have not test fired this revolver but have performed our function checks and find no issues to report. As with all pre-owned firearm purchases, please review the photos carefully so that you are fully comfortable with the condition of the revolver.
