There was a time when the quality of Smith & Wesson revolvers was beyond question.  There was a time when the fit and finish of Smith & Wesson revolvers were just fantastic.  This Smith & Wesson 19-3 is from that time period.  Smith & Wesson reports that our revolver (serial number K795836) was manufactured in 1968.  Smith made the Model 19 from 1957 – 1999 and then picked back up with the Classic line in 2018, continuing through today.

Our revolver features the more popular 2.5 inch barrel.  The rear sight is adjustable and the front sight is a fixed ramp.  The cylinder on the K frame revolver holds 6 rounds of either 38 Special or 357 Magnum.

In most cases, these models left the factory with checkered wooden grips.  We have those original grips but the revolver currently has faux ivory grips mounted on it.  The Smith & Wesson medallion is embedded in the grips.  The wooden grips are in Excellent condition while the ivory ones are Near Mint.

The bright blued finish is in Excellent condition with the exception of two small spots by the trigger guard.  We’ve shown each of those in a photo.  The bore is good and the barrel is bright.  They cylinder shows only the slightest evidence of a wear ring.

Finding a revolver of this age in this condition is pretty rare.  Finding a revolver of this age, in this condition and with the original box and tools is extremely rare.  If you’re looking for a Smith revolver from this era, we don’t think that you’ll find a better one than this!

Purchase includes the revolver equipped as shown, the original wooden grips, original box, original cleaning tools and original owner’s manual.

This is a used revolver and, like all of our used inventory, we have not test fired this revolver.  We have performed our function checks and find no issues.  As with all pre-owned firearm purchases, please review the photos carefully so that you are fully comfortable with the condition of the revolver.
