This is a consignment offering and, like all of our consignment guns, has not been fired.  Function checks are correct and we find no issues with this pistol.

The only real knock on these pistols when they were introduced was the trigger and/or striker springs made accurate shooting difficult.  Replace one or both of those things and the Sigma series became good, accurate pistols.  In the case of this specific gun, the striker spring has been replaced with a competition spring and the work order for that is in the case.  When this pistol came in, we originally believed it to be "new old stock".  When we examined it closer, we did find some residue and we aren't able to state whether that's from firing by the owner or test firing when the striker spring was replaced.  In any case, we don't believe that it has likely been fired since then because of the banding applied to the trigger.

The pistol has a 4 inch barrel, 3 dot sights and a stainless slide over a black frame.  As we said above, the gun may have been fired but it certainly has not been fired much.  The slide, frame and grips are all in like new condition.  The feed ramp, bore and barrel are all very bright and there is no wear on the pistol.  It's a very good looking example of the SW40VE.  As with all used guns, you should review the pictures carefully to make sure that you agree with our opinion.

The pistol comes in its original foam-lined hard case, has (2) 10 round Smith & Wesson magazines, the instruction manual and a couple of receipts from the purchase of the gun and the installation of the striker spring mentioned above.

This is a reliable, attractive pistol at a fantastic price point!
