We'll admit that this is not a pristine S&W Top Break.  It's obvious that it needs some work.  It is, however, a nice vintage piece in good cosmetic condition with the exception of the missing grips.

This revolver is serial number 86558.  As a 4th model Smith & Wesson Double Action Top Break, it would have been manufactured between 1883 and 1909.  It's chambered in .32S&W, has a 3.5 inch barrel, a pinned front sight and a rounded trigger guard.  The nickel finish is in Excellent shape and mostly intact.  The barrel is bright.

The grips are missing and the owner advises us of the following mechanical problem.  The hammer full cock notch appears to be worn and won't catch.

If you're looking for a display piece, a set of grips on this will take care of everything and you'll have a good looking display.  If you'd like the revolver to be mechanically functional, there's some work to do.  Overall, in terms of looks, this is a nice looking revolver and very reasonably priced based on similar models.

Purchase includes the revolver only.  No other parts or accessories are included.

This is a consignment sale and we have not attempted to test fire this revolver.  See notes above regarding any issues.  As with all pre-owned firearm purchases, please review the photos carefully so that you are fully comfortable with the condition of the revolver.

Determined at checkout.
