This beautiful revolver came to us as a consignment sale and it's a truly well cared for vintage revolver.  Over the years, Smith & Wesson made a variety of models of the 10-5 but we think that this one rates much higher than a lot of the more recently produced versions.  Serial number id C940266, which puts the likely production date as 1966-1967.

Ours has the 2 inch barrel, which Smith & Wesson stopped manufacturing in 1996.  Even if you decide to purchase the Model 10 Classic that's being made now, you won't find the 2 inch barrel.  This is a 6 shot, K frame revolver and features a blued finish and wood grips.  There is a channel rear sight groove and the front sight is a fixed ramp.

We're very impressed with the condition of this one.  The blued finish is Excellent.  We found no scratches or scrapes, which is quite an accomplishment for a revolver of this age.  The cylinder has only the very slightest of rings from rotation.  The wood grips are also Excellent and have no scratches, dents or wear.  The barrel is bright, the rifling is strong and the bore is clean.  The single action trigger pull is really nice and really light.  Double action trigger pull is just as expected for double action.

Overall, we think that this is a fantastic example of a classic snub nosed revolver.  You can't find a new one like it and we don't think that you'll find another pre-owned model that's as clean and sharp as the one that you see here.  Take a good look at the photos and we think that you'll agree.  If you're looking for a vintage Smith & Wesson 10-5, you won't be disappointed in the one that we have available.

Purchase includes the revolver, a zippered, padded soft case and the Wald's leather belt holster with thumb break retention strap as shown.

This is a consignment sale and, like all of our consignments, we have not test fired this revolver.  We have performed all function checks and find no issues to report.  As with all pre-owned firearm purchases, please review the photos carefully so that you are fully comfortable with the condition of the revolver.

Determined at checkout.
