This Smith & Wesson M&P40 M2.0 pistol is a Law Enforcement trade-in and is chambered in 40S&W.  We've performed our function checks but have not fired it.  All function checks are correct and there are no issues to report.  See below regarding the lifetime guarantee.  Don't chance it on other used pistols that aren't backed by this excellent added protection.

This duty pistol has a 4.25 inch barrel and a magazine capacity of 15+1.  An accessory rail sits underneath the barrel.  Our pistol has serial number NAY6992.  The Smith & Wesson SKU is 11519 and was originally available to law enforcement only.

Three dot night sights are installed on the pistol currently.  The rear sight has approximately 60% of its original brightness.  The front sight has no remaining glow.  The sights do function as standard 3 dot sights.        

Most of our Law Enforcement trade-ins usually come to us in pretty good condition and this one is no exception.  The bore is clean, bright and shiny.  The barrel is bright and the rifling is deep and strong.  The grips have crisp stippling and minimal signs of wear.  They are in Excellent condition.  The frame is Excellent as well.  The slide does show some evidence of holster wear, primarily on parts of the top and sides but still rates as Very Good.  While this was, no doubt, an issued pistol it does not appear to have seen excessive use with the exception of being carried in the holster.

Overall, we’d grade this pistol as Very Good or better.  The Lifetime Guarantee covers you on the mechanical aspects of the pistol.  The cosmetics are normal for issued duty pistols.  New models of this pistol sell for about $550 without the night sights.  Save some money and pick up a pre-owned version with a lifetime guarantee.  As with all used firearms, please review all of the photos carefully so that you are thoroughly familiar with the condition of the pistol.
