Sig Sauer

We've become big fans of the Sig Sauer factory refurbished program.  If you work at Sig, you probably call it the "Red Box" program because all of these factory refinished, refurbished, certified pistols ship in red Sig Sauer boxes.  Most of these pistols are law enforcement trade-in pistols.  Sig, however, turns things up a notch when compared to other manufacturers.  A lot of the other manufacturers simply take the trade-in model, put it in a box and re-sell it to a distributor.  We usually carry some of those models and have found them to be very good pistols.  The Sig models, though, are in a class by themselves. 

When these pistols come back to Sig, they're sent over to Sig's Custom Shop.  Once there, the pistol is completely disassembled and any worn or damaged parts are replaced and the pistol is brought completely up to new factory specs.  If needed, that includes replacement of the barrel, slide or frame.  The end result is a pistol that is not only tuned to new factory specs, it also looks like a new pistol and even comes with a one year Sig warranty.  We even hear customers ask, "Are you sure this is used?".

This particular pistol is a Sig P226 chambered in 40S&W with a 12+1 capacity.  It originally shipped to the Rhode Island Department of Corrections in February, 2022 and came back to Sig in April of that same year and then sat at the Sig factory until it went to a distributor and was recently purchased by us.  While we doubt if the pistol saw much use in those 2 months, it certainly looks brand new now.  The grips, frame, slide, barrel, rifling and bore are all Like New.  The 3 dot night sights on the pistol retain their original brightness. 

This pistol is Double Action/Single Action and features a decocker on the left side of the frame.  The barrel is 4.4 inches and features an accessory rail underneath the barrel.  The aluminum frame is a black Nitron.

In the civilian market, you'll mostly find the P226 chambered in 9mm and selling new at $999.99.  This is your opportunity to have a 40S&W law enforcement version that looks new and is tuned up to be like new yet priced $240 less than the 9mm model.

Purchase includes the pistol, (2) 12 round Sig Sauer steel magazines, red Sig box, manual and cable lock.  As we mentioned before, Sig provides a one year warranty on these factory certified models.
