Sig Sauer

We've always liked the Sig 516 rifles but this package is exceptionally nice.  It's a consignment sale but, wow, this thing looks brand new!  Just the rifle itself would be nice but this one is kitted out and ready to go.

A few details on the rifle.  This has a 16" cold hammer forged barrel that's capped off by what we believe to be a factory installed muzzle brake.  No, you don't really need a muzzle brake on a 5.56 rifle but . . . why not?  The Sig Sauer branded multi-position, collapsible stock is likely of MagPul manufacture.  Flip-up iron sights are located on the full length Picatinny rail atop the barrel and receiver.  A quad rail handguard gives us the ability to mount just about anything, anywhere  along its length.  The pistol grip has a latched storage compartment.  The barrel is bright, the rifling is strong and the bore is clean.  The mil-spec trigger is consistent and firm.

Our inspection leads us to believe that this has had extremely few rounds put through it.  The stock shows on minimal evidence of handling and the metal is near mint.  There is one very small spot of finish loss on the left side of the barrel (likely from storage) and that's shown in the pictures.  Overall, we'd rate this rifle as excellent-plus and bordering on near mint.  It's truly in amazing condition.

If everything mentioned above wasn't enough, this rifle also has an EOTech EXPS2-2 optic mounted on the rail.  The hard case for the optic and a quick reference card come with the purchase.  The optic appears fully functional and, like all EOTech optics, it's a great view through the glass.  Go check the price on this model (we did) and you'll see how much value the EOTech adds to the overall package.
