This Sig Sauer P220, chambered in .45ACP, is a consignment sale and a great find! This German manufactured version has 4.4" barrel, a matte blued finish, a 7+1 magazine capacity and black, checkered grips. The barrel, slide and frame serial numbers are all matching.
This particular version is the double action / single action configuration with a decocker. The hammer has both half-cock and full-cock positions. Double action trigger pull is about the expected 10 pounds, while the single action pull is approximately 4.5 pounds. The double action pull feels as expected for a double action trigger. The single action pull is nice, smooth and consistent.
The bore is good, the barrel is bright and the 6 groove rifling is strong and evident. The spring is strong. Holster wear is evident on the slide with the primary area of finish loss being near the muzzle end. The frame is in very good plus condition with some finish loss at the front of the trigger guard, likely due to the same holster. The grips show only light wear and the checkering is crisp and well defined.
Our best guess is that this was likely a duty gun, saw significant time in a holster and was probably fired for qualifying. We think it's a very good example of a German P220 with just the cosmetic issues noted above. These are fantastic pistols and incredibly well made. We'd rate the gun as Very Good and would be proud to own this one.
As noted, this is a consignment pistol and we have not test fired the gun. We have performed all function checks and find no mechanical issues. As with all used guns, please carefully review all photos so that you are comfortable with the condition of the pistol.
In addition to the pistol, this sale includes the Sig Arms padded hard case, (3) 7 round Sig Sauer magazines, cleaning rope and manual.
