Sig Sauer

The Sig Sauer SP 2022 is a great alternative to its pricier cousins, the P226 and P229.  While the SP 2022 is a more budget friendly choice, that doesn’t mean that you’re giving up quality or accuracy.  We have a great looking SP 2022 in the shop on consignment right now.  Wearing serial number 24B101516, this one was manufactured in July, 2012.

The SP 2022 has a polymer frame and a stainless steel slide.  The lighter weight, compared to some of the other Sig pistols, make it a nice choice as a carry pistol if your carry choice is a compact model.

The barrel is 3.9 inches long and the pistol holds 15 rounds in the magazine.  Sig night sights are installed but we’d estimate the brightness to be 45-50% of original.  That would be just about right for a 2012 model.

The SP 2022 is a double action / single action model.  A decocker is located on the left side of the frame.  A picatinny accessory rail is underneath the barrel for adding your choice of lights or lasers.

This pistol has a very clean bore and a bright barrel.  The rifling looks strong as well.  The grips are in Near Mint condition.  The slide and frame are in Excellent condition and the entire pistol seems to be very well cared for.

If you’re a fan of the hammer fired Sig Sauer pistols but would like to stay in the more affordable range, the SP 2022 might be a very good choice for you.  Take a good look at the photos and see if this one fits for you.
