This Sauer (J.P. Sauer & Sohn) rifle is a consignment sale and we've listed it correctly as "used".  However, to look at this rifle, you'd probably think that it came straight from the factory.  It's that nice.  The owner states that about 60 rounds have been fired through it.  We'd have guessed even less than that.  It's as close to Mint as you can get.

Chambered in 6.5 Creedmoor, the double stack detachable magazine holds 5 rounds in addition to the one that you have in the chamber.  The double stack magazine is a really nice feature on this model as it lets the magazine fit flush with the bottom of the rifle.  This model is actually chock full of high end features for an affordably priced rifle.

The 22 inch barrel is cold hammer forged and features the EVER REST Action Bedding system.The single stage trigger can be adjusted from 2.2 - 4.2 pounds.  The trigger pull is light and smooth wth extremely little over-travel.  It feels really, really nice.  The excellent barrel, trigger and muzzle crown are why many shooters are able to score three shot groups in under 1 inch at 100 yards.  Simply put, this rifle is a tack driver.

The 3 lug bolt head locks up inside a forged steel receiver.  The rifle also has a 3 position safety.  Bolt action on this is silky smooth.  Just amazing.

The stock is a dark stained beechwood ambi stock and it looks fantastic as well.  A rubber recoil pad absorbs the limited recoil of this soft-shooting caliber.

These models come with no sights but the owner has added a Leupold picatinny rail.  The 60 degree bolt throw and the ejectors on the 100 Classic will throw your spent brass mostly horizontally, allowing you full freedom in your choice of optics for your new rifle.

If you can't tell already, we like this rifle . . . a lot.  This one is about as close to New In Box as you can get.  No marks on the wood, no flaws in the metal, a minty bore and a super bright barrel.  It looks new, it feels new, it just isn't priced like new.  The owner has this one priced well below new versions and it's a great bargain at this price.  If you're looking for an incredibly accurate, incredibly smooth, incredibly attractive rifle that still fits in the budget, take a good look at this one.  It really doesn't disappoint.
