Mfg Item #: NR-9
When you open the original box that contains this beautiful revolver, you almost go back 46 years to when this gun came out of the Ruger factory. In fact, we're pretty sure that the gun looks exactly the same now as it did then.
This particular model is a Bicentennial limited edition that Ruger produced in 1976 and the top of the barrel is stamped, "MADE IN THE 200TH YEAR OF AMERICAN LIBERTY"
Some of the other facts about this revolver: It's officially a New Model Super Single-Six. Model number is NR-9. It has the 9.5" barrel and each cylinder holds six rounds. Single action only. Ruger makes these convertible revolvers with each cylinder (22LR and 22Mag) specifically made for the gun. The cylinders have the last digits of the correct gun etched on the cylinder. The New Model guns have the transfer bar safety. The rear sight is adjustable, while the front sight is a fixed ramp. The gorgeous walnut grips include the Ruger medallion. Finish is blued.
We'd grade this entire revolver as Like New. The grips are pristine and we find no flaws on the blued portion of the firearm either. Finding this revolver, in this condition, with both correct cylinders, the original box and the manual is truly a rare find. It's a stunning hard to find gun that will be an amazing addition to your collection.
Included in the purchase, in addition to the revolver, is what we believe to be the original brown cardboard Ruger box. That's a bit interesting in itself because many of the Ruger boxes from that time period were red in color. The brown box has the original label on the end. Besides the box, you get both correctly matched cylinders (22LR and 22Mag), the original owner's manual and the registration card.
This is a consignment revolver and, like all of our consignment guns, we have not test fired the weapon. We have performed our function checks and find no issues. Please make certain to review all of the photos so that you are fully comfortable with the condition of this item.
