We love the look of the Mini-14 rifles and espically like the look of the stainless finish against the wood stock.  This Mini-14 came in as part of a larger collection and it's a real eye-catcher.

The Mini-14 is chambered in .223 Remington, has an 18" barrel and will accept Mini-14 magazines of your choosing.  We're not cetain if the flash suppressor on this is part of the original configuration or an addition after the fact.  The M-1 Garand-style manual safety sits at the front of the trigger guard.  The front sight is a ramp style and the adjustable rear sight is a peep-type.  Serial number is 181-97467.  This Mini-14 was manufactured in 1980.

The interior of the barrel is bright, the rifling is good and the bore is clean.  The action of the bolt is smooth and easy.  The trigger has very little takeup and then a firm break that is consistent with what you'd feel in a mil-spec type of trigger.  The finish is mostly Very Good with some minor areas of wear.  There are a few area where we saw minor surface oxidation and those are shown in the photos.  The magwell also shows minimal areas of surface oxidation but we found nothing to be concenring.  The wood is in Good shape with signs of honest use but no damage or areas of heavy scratches.  The rifle has seen use, but not abuse and is still attractive.

Overall, this is an attractive, vintage Mini-14 with a great deal of life in it and a lot of fun ahead of you.  It's attractive, functional, and an appealing, great addition to the collection!

Purchase includes the rifle and attached, adjustable nylon sling.  Does not come with a magazine.
