This consignment rifle takes us back to 1976 and the spirit that existed throughout the country during that bicentennial year.  Celebrations of our 200th year as a country were everywhere, the Treasury was minting bicentennial coin sets and Ruger rollmarked a number of their firearms with, "MADE IN THE 200TH YEAR OF AMERICAN LIBERTY".

This 1976 model 10/22 carbine bears that rollmark on its 18.5" barrel.  It wears serial number 115-48779.  It's not that the bicentennial editions were produced in limited numbers, it's just that you don't often see models for sale today that look mostly as they did in 1976.

Our rifle has the folding rear sight, gold bead front sight, a satin black metal finish, uncheckered wood stock, black buttplate and push button safety.  It's also drilled/tapped for mounting of a scope if desired.

The metal finish on this one is Near Mint.  The buttplate is in Excellent condition.  The bore is clean and the barrel and rifling look like new.  The action cycles smoothly and freely.  We'd grade the wood stock as Near Mint except for a single scratch on the right side of the buttstock.  See the pictures for that.  Other than that, the rifle is truly in Near Mint condition.

As we said earlier, it's not that this model is rare, it's just rare to find one that's this clean and pristine.  Overall, this rifle looks much as it did 48 years ago when it came out of the factory.  If you're looking for a beautiful, vintage, collectible 10/22 then this one is definitely worth the time to check out!

Purchase includes the rifle, 10 round Ruger rotary magazine and Ruger 10/22 padded, zippered case.

This is a consignment sale and, like all of our consignments, we have not test fired this rifle.  We have performed all function checks and find no issues.  As with all pre-owned firearm purchases, please review the photos carefully so that you are fully comfortable with the condition of the rifle.

Determined at checkout.
