This Remington 870 Police Magnum 12 Gauge is a Law Enforcement trade-in and has a 3 inch chamber.  We have inspected the shotgun and performed our function checks but have not fired it.  We find no issues on the function checks to report.  Serial number is B883710M.  See below regarding the lifetime guarantee.  The lifetime guarantee is a great benefit that you wouldn’t expect to get with the purchase of a used firearm.

This Law Enforcement trade-in has a 20” barrel and is equipped with rifle sights.  The chamber will hold 2-3/4” or 3” shells.  The metal finish is parkerized, the stock is a black synthetic and a Remington recoil pad sits at the end of the stock.  The recoil pad is in Excellent condition.  The bore is clean and the barrel is bright.  Action is smooth. 

The metal finish shows expected duty wear as you’ll see in the photos.  Or, as one of our police officer friends said, “Those are just cop scratches.  I’ve done my share of those, too.”  The synthetic stock also shows some wear but with no major flaws either.  

A side saddle shell holder was likely affixed to the left side of the receiver but has been removed.  The rack number “27” is stenciled on the buttstock.  The serial number for the shotgun is written on the buttstock in silver Sharpie.  The nylon sling used by this particular agency is attached to the shotgun as shown in the pictures.

Overall, this a nice agency trade-in a configuration that we don’t see all the time.  Generally, these police shotguns spend a lot of time in the cruiser (as shown by the finish wear) but don’t typically see a lot of use.  There may be cosmetic blemishes but we see no mechanical issues.  If any mechanical issues come up during your lifetime of ownership, they are covered by the Davidson’s guarantee.  That should give you a degree of comfort to know that you won’t have to worry about any repairs after your purchase.  As with all pre-owned firearm purchases, please review all of the photos carefully so that you are thoroughly familiar with the condition of the shotgun.
