This consignment sale is for a Remington 510 Targetmaster. The rifle is chambered for .22 Short, Long or Long Rifle. Remington made these rifles from 1939 - 1962. Ours does not have a serial number but the PK date code on the barrel would indicate likely manufacture in 1941.
These are single-shot, bolt operated rifles and ours has a 25 inch barrel. The rifle does have a manual safety which, interestingly, is activated when the bolt moves to the rear. The rear sight is adjustable and the front sight is fixed.
The wood is in Very Good condition. It does have signs of use but is in much better condition than we normally see with this model. The metal is also in Very Good condition and, again, better than we normally see with these. The rifle has a good, clean bore and a bright barrel.
Overall, this is a very nice vintage rimfire rifle that would be a nice add either as a collectible, a plinker or to teach a young shooter. Take a good look at the photos and we think that you’ll agree.
Purchase includes the rifle only. No case.
This is a consignment sale and, like all of our consignments, we have not test fired this rifle. We have performed all function checks and find no mechanical issues. As with all pre-owned firearms, please review the photos carefully so that you are fully aware of the condition of this firearm.
