This is another fantastic example of a vintage shotgun from the large collection that we've had on consignment from one of our customers.  The guns from this collection have been beautiful and in amazing condition.  This one fits right into the rest of the group.  It's beautiful, ready for the field and you'll get an extra barrel on top of all that.  Read on for full details.

The Remington 1100 has been produced in various models since 1963 and there's a reason that it's lasted that long.  It just plain works.  It's a reliable semi-automatic shotgun that you can configure for your needs at a price that's easy to handle.  This particular 1100 is a 12 Gauge, chambered for 2-3/4" shells and comes with a 28" vent rib full choke barrel with a front bead sight.  Barrel code is CY.  There was an extra Model 1100 barrel in the collection that we mentioned earlier and we've included it with this package.  The bonus barrel is a 26" vent rib skeet choke barrel, chambered for 2-3/4" shells with a mid bead sight and a front white dot sight.  Neither of the two barrels are threaded for other chokes.  Serial number on the receiver of the shotgun is L345669V. 

The wood is checkered with a pistol grip stock.  All wood is near mint and the checkering is clear and defined.  The Remington buttpad is in Excellent condition.  The receiver is scroll engraved and very attractive.  The trigger is frim but clean and consistent.  Both barrels are very bright and, if used, have seen very few shells cycled through them.  The bore is clean.  All metal is Excellent with no scratches.

Overall, we'd grade this shotgun as Excellent to Near Mint.  It's a very attractive 1100, in amazing condition and the extra barrel is a huge bonus.  If you're familiar with the operation of the 1100, you already know that changing the barrel is a simple and easy task that's accomplished in less than a minute.  If you're looking for a dependable, proven semi-auto 12 Gauge, give this one a good look.  You won't be disappointed!

This is a consignment sale and, like all of our consignment firearms, we have not test-fired the gun.  We have, however, performed all function checks and we find no issues to report.  Like all used firearm purchases, please review all photos carefully so that you are fully comfortable with the condition of the shotgun.
