This is a consignment sale from another of our long-term customers.  The one is a very nice, vintage Model 90 Over/Under shotgun from Marlin with the JM stamp on the monoblock.  Based on the serial number prefix of "G", the shotgun (G 116) was manufactured in 1950.  The style of barrels on the gun would also indicate that as the likely date.

The Model 90s with the 28 inch barrels are fixed choke models and were typically choked full and modified.  However, we have not measured the barrels to check.  A bead sight sits at the front end of the top barrel.  This is the single trigger model, the more desirable of the two.  A tang safety sits just behind the release lever.

The forearm is checkered.  All wood shows signs of use (as expected) but we find no major defects.  We'd rate the wood as Good condition.

Finish on the barrels is mostly still intact and in good condition.  Finish loss is apparent on the receiver but we see no rust.  Please see the photos for condition of the receiver.  Based on similar models of the same age that we've seen, this receiver would be in better condition than the norm.

Overall, this is a very nice, vintage Marlin Over/Under at a reasonable price that's definitely worth a look!

Purchase includes the shotgun and a padded, zippered case.

This is a consignment sale and, like all of our consignmets, we have not test fired the firearm.  We have performed all function checks and find no issues.  As with all pre-owned firearm purchases, please review the photos carefully so that you are fully comfortable with the condition of the shotgun.

Determined at checkout.
