Marlin

This consignment is an unusual Marlin 336W Big Loop that we don't often see and it's in pristine, Like New condition.  Serial number is MR72196I.

The 20 inch blued barrel is the micro-groove version.  It has a hooded front sight and a folding, adjustable rear sight.  Sling swivels are attached under the barrel and the buttstock.  The receiver is drilled and tapped for scope mounting if desired.  The hammer features a half-cock position and there's a push button hammer block safety.  A black rubber buttpad sits at the rear of the stock.

We had not seen the Green/Black webbing hardwood stock model before.  A quick check of GunBroker just before posting this add also didn't show any completed sales or current listings with that style.  The stock configuration is original and can be verified by the label on the original box.  It's a nice look and not a common model.

We don't know if this rifle has been fired before or not.  If it has, it certainly wasn't used much.  The bore, barrel, rifling, metal finish and stock are all minty and Like New.  If you're a fan of Marlin 336 rifles and want a beautiful version that's different from most other folks, take a good look at this one.  We don't think that you'll be disappointed and this one would definitely look great in your collection!
