Marlin

Sometimes a customer brings us a consignment gun and we just have to say, "Wow!".  That's what happened when this Model 1894 Marlin rifle came into the shop.  Although it was manufactured in 1977, this one looks like it could have left the store yesterday.  Absolutely beautiful.  Serial number, for reference, is 23137835

The 20 inch barrel is the micro-grooved version and the highly desirable JM stamp is on the left side of the barrel, exactly where it should be.  The bore is clean, the barrel is very bright and the micro-groove rifling is strong and evident.  The rifle is chambered in 44 Magnum and will also fire 44 Special.

Loading is accomplished via the side gate that feeds a tubular magazine.  This model also has side ejection.  There is no safety on this model but the hammer does have a half-cock position.  The trigger is a striking gold and the lever is the squared version.  The trigger is crisp and has minimal take up.

This model has the straight grip walnut stock and the wood is in excellent condition.  The rifle has a hooded front sight and an adjustable rear sight.  The buttpad is Marlin branded.  The blued finish of the barrel and receiver has no scrapes or scratches.

Overall, we find this Marlin to be in near mint condition.  We think that you'll say, "Wow!" when you see it also.

Purchase includes the rifle and soft side rifle case.

This is a consignment sale and, like all of our consignment guns, we have not test fired the rifle.  We have, however, performed all function checks and find that everything works as it should.  Like all used firearm purchases, please review all of the photos to be certain that you are comfortable with the condition of the gun.
