Iver Johnson produced the Trailsman 66 from 1958 through 1978. We don't know the exact year of production on this one but, based on the location of the serial number, it would have been produced in 1961 or later. As for serial numbers, this one is numbered 7568.
The Trailsman 66 are top break revolvers and feature adjustable rear and front sights. This is an 8 shot cylinder with recessed chambers and a flash control front rim on the cylinder. Action is both single action and double action. Both work smoothly and as expected. The 6 inch barrel has a blued finish. Two grips are included with purchase (please see photos). We think that the dark brown are probably the original ones. Neither grip shows much wear.
The barrel is bright and the rifling looks good. The metal finish is in Very Good condition. Overall, this is a classic revolver in Very Good condition although it could use a good cleaning and lubrication after purchase. The cylinder does show some wear rings as would be expected from normal use. The owner has this one priced to sell and it would be a nice, fun plinker to add to the collection.

This is a consignment sale and, like all of our consignments, we have not test fired this revolver. We have performed our function checks and find no mechanical issues. However, the revolver could use a good cleaning and lubricant upon purchase. As with all pre-owned firearm purchases, please review the photos carefully so that you are fully comfortable with the condition of the revolver.
