Does your department have a .50 caliber program?  Have you seen the need for a .50 caliber program but can’t get the support from your chain of command due to cost?

We’re beginning to see more departments recognize the need for a long-range, big bore precision rifle that can accomplish multiple missions.  In today’s environment, officers may have to interdict and disable a hardened vehicle target.  In more rural environments, a long distance precision shot may be required to disable a suspect.  The .50 caliber rifle can even be used to tactically breach a target from a distance, maintaining officer safety.

The HM Defense HM50B2 rifle is an affordable option to either begin or improve the .50 caliber program for your department.  Capable of 1 MOA groups, it brings both power and precision to your program.

The HM50B2 is the evolution of the HM50B rifle. When we were designing the HM50B2 rifle, we lightened and strengthened areas that are beneficial for military and law enforcement use. We eliminated the A2 buffer tube mounting system and plastic PRS stock, found on the HM50B Gen1 model.

The HM50B2 upper receiver, lower receiver and rail were designed with a more contoured look and overall weight reduction in mind. The new machined, adjustable stock is made in house by HM with a steel through-bolted mounting system, joining the stock to the lower receiver. The stock has an adjustable comb, length of pull and butt pad. The stock has a flat bottom and includes a removeable 1913 picatinny rail for secure monopod mounting. Removing the picatinny rail will benefit shooters who prefer shooting off bags. Further improvements are a more robust bolt handle mounting system that makes cleaning and maintaining the rifle more efficient. Rifles are shipped in a custom case with laser cut foam and include a bipod and magazine.
