This HK4 is one of the models that HK manufactured in Germany for Harrington & Richardson and then imported into the United States.  Ours wears serial number HR 04954 and is a likely 1971 model.

The 3.3 inch barrel is stamped 9K for 380 ACP.  The pistol has a fixed front sight and a rear sight that is adjustable for windage.  A manual safety is located on the left side of the pistol.

Of the two magazines included with the pistol, one is marked “9K, HK 5/71” and the other magazine is marked “HK 9K”.

The pistol has a good bore, bright barrel and good rifling.

The metal finish is in Excellent condition.  The grips are in Very Good condition.  There are some light storage and handling marks on the grip panels.  There is also some light scuffing on the front strap of the grip.  Please see the photos to confirm our description.

Overall, this is a very nice vintage pistol that you don’t see very often.  According to our sources, only 8700 of the H&R pistols were manufactured.  If you’re a fan of this style or this model, our pistol would make a great addition to your collection!
