We've sold a variety of Law Enforcement trade-ins over the last few years.  They're typically great firearms that have been well maintained.  This one, however, we don't see very often.  This rifle is a Colt AR-15A3 Tactical Carbine.  These rifles came from Colt Defense, a division of Colt that deals with law enforcement, the military and some security organizations.  This model was originally only available to military and law enforcement agencies and the right side of the magwell is stamped with the information.  Now that it's come back from the original agency, it's available to you and your opportunity to own a model that's pretty uncommon.  On top of that, the rifle comes with a Lifetime Guarantee.  More details below.

The receiver is marked as .223 Remington.  The barrel is stamped for 5.56 NATO.  It's a 16 inch heavy barrel with a 1:9 twist.  Serial number is LBD018751.  The barrel is bright, the rifling is strong and the bore is clean and bright.  There are minor marks on the barrel and receiver which is normal when these come back from their time with the original law enforcement agency.

The rifle has an A2 front sight post, flash hider, picatinny rail and flip up (not spring actuated) rear sight from GG&G.  We're assuming that was installed by the agency after if left the Colt factory.  Those are great sights and not inexpensive!  A Tdi Arms TM16FA bayonet lug / picatinny rail has been added under the front sight.  You don't see those every day.  Our rifle also has a 4 position collapsible stock, forward assist, pistol grip with storage and dust cover.

Overall, this rifle is in Very Good condition and, why wouldn't it be?  They spend most of their time either in a rack in the squad car, in a case in the trunk or back in the armory.  They just don't get carried and handled a whole lot.  Great rifle, rare model, Very Good condition and a Lifetie Guarantee.  That's pretty tough to beat.

We have not test fired this rifle.  We have performed all function checks and find no issues to report.  As with all pre-owned firearm purchases, please review the photos carefully so that you are fully comfortable with the condition of the rifle.
