This Colt Single Action Frontier Scout is in absolutely beautiful condition.  Wearing serial number 90663F, it was manufactured in 1959.  Looking at it, it’s hard to believe that it rolled out of the Colt factory over 65 years ago.

Chambered for 22 LR, the cylinder with side loading gate holds 6 rounds.  The 4.75 inch barrel has a blade front sight and a rear sight channel.

The metal is a blued finish and the grips that are installed are a very attractive pearl-type.  These are likely not the original grips as most of the original grips were walnut or black rubber.

The action is smooth and the trigger is light and very nice.  The bore is good and the barrel is bright.  The finish is in Excellent or better condition with no major flaws that we see.  We’d rate the grips as Very Good, only because the left panel has a small crack at the very top edge.  Overall, considering the age of the revolver, this is a beautifully preserved example of a very fun model.

If you’re a fan of vintage Colt revolvers, we’d encourage you to take a good long look at this one.  If adding a Frontier Scout to the collection is what you’re after, it would be hard to find an example in better condition that this one!

Purchase includes the revolver, original box, cleaning brush and zippered, padded soft case.  Note:  The original box is in rough condition and is not pristine but is included.
