This is a very nicely equipped and maintained consignment sale that came into our shop.  Please take the time to read through the description as we think you'll find that there's a lot to like.

The rifle is a Match Target HBAR model that was manufactured in 2008.  Serial number is CMH045767.  It has a 20 inch heavy barrel with a factory installed compensator.  The receiver is stamped .223 Rem.  The barrel is stamped 5.56 NATO and has a 1:7 twist.

It features a carry handle and has A2 sights.  The stock is a multi-position collapsible model.  The black quad rail that's been added will allow you to put almost any accessory in any location and gives you a good, firm surface for your front hand.

For being such a nicely equipped rig, the rifle doesn't appear to have seen significant use.  The barrel is bright, the rifling is crisp and strong, the bore is clean and bright.  The trigger is consistent on the break.  The stock and pistol grip are in Excellent condition.  The parkerized barrel and metal receiver show light handling and storage marks, as is common for AR platform rifles.  There are no major defects.

The optic that you see in the photos is a Leapers 6 x 32 Red/Green Mil Dot A0 model.  The scope is a nice addition on this rifle.  The reticle can be illuminated as either red or green and the brightness is variable.  Flip up covers protect the lens.  Adjustment knobs move freely.  The glass is clear and the reticle illuminates nicely.  The scope is in Excellent condition.

This model is a nice change of pace from a lot of the 16 inch barrel M4 style rifles that are common today.  It is still very much a tactical rifle if you choose to use it that way.  However, the longer, heavy barrel with the 1:7 twist gives you the option to make longer range shots more consistently and with greater velocity.  It's a flexibility that you don't have in a lot of rifles and you get that in the very reliable, very desirable Colt brand.  Overall, this rifle grades at least Very Good and leans toward Excellent.  Equipped as it is with the extra features, it's definitely worth your time to take a solid look.
