Colt Gold Cup National Match models were designed with competition shooting in mind. Hammer, trigger and national match barrel all help with reliable, accurate shooting. This pistol wears serial number 18441N70 and was manufactured in 1982.
Like all Mk IV Series 70 Gold Cup National Match models, this one has a 5 inch National Match barrel. The trigger is adjustable and the hammer is a target hammer. It also features a Colt-Elliason rear sight and an ambi safety. The single action trigger is light and crisp and, again, is adjustable to your preference. The wood grips are a double diamond style.
The prior owner seems to have added a textured material to the front side of the grip and this is shown in the attached photos.
The grips are in Very Good condition. The bore looks to be in good shape but could use a good cleaning. The barrel is bright and the rifling looks good. The metal does have some wear from use and there are a couple of light scratches on the right side of the slide. We’ve done our best to show all of that in the photos.
The older Colt pistols have drawn a lot of interest. If you’re looking for a vintage Colt that’s built for competition shooting, take a good look at this one and see if it fits.
Purchase includes the pistol as shown, (1) 7 round Tripp magazine and a non-original hard case.
This is a consignment sale and, like all of our consignments, we have not test fired this pistol. We have performed our function checks and find no issues. As with all pre-owned firearm purchases, please review the photos carefully so that you are fully comfortable with the condition of the pistol.
