This Colt revolver came to us as a consignment sale.  It's an interesting, vintage piece that makes ya think, man . . . they really don't make 'em like that any more.

The Army Special model is chambered in .32-20 WCF and has a 4.5 inch barrel.  The serial number of 332622 indicates production in 1911 and came about in the middle of the production run of this model.  The hard rubber grips feature the Colt pony and, based on what we've seen, are the less common version of the grips.  The cylinder holds 6 shots and the sights are fixed.  A round, checkered cylinder release allows the cylinder to swing out the left side of the frame.  The trigger is smooth.

The original blued finish has been lost to time, leaving an interesting patina.  Although the blued finish is gone, the metal is in Good condition with just minor surface oxidation on a couple of areas.  Those are primarily on the right side of the frame, just forward of the grip and on the back strap.  The grips are in good condition showing just some wear and signs of use.  The barrel is bright and the rifling is strong.  The bore looks good but could use a good cleaning.  The cylinder and ejector rod are smooth and move freely.  The action is smooth and both double and single action modes function as expected.

Overall, we'd rate this revolver as Good and think it's a very fine example of a vintage Colt.  It may not look like it did on the day that it came out of the factory but it's a very nice model and definitely worth a look!

Purchase includes the revolver and a George Lawrence leather belt loop holster.

This is a consignment sale and, like all of our consignments, we have not test fired the revolver.  We have performed all function checks and find no issues.  As with all used firearm purchases, please review the photos carefully so that you are fully comfortable with the condition of the firearm.

Determined at checkout.
