Browning

It's been said that Browning does not make any ugly shotguns.  We tend to believe that and this over/under Browning consignment won't do anything to prove that saying wrong.  It's a beautiful well-cared for Browning that is in truly outstanding shape.

This model is a 12 Gauge Browning Citori Skeet.  It features a 2-3/4" chamber and 26 inch high post rib barrels.  Serial number is 02426RRJB3.  Browning tells us that this gun came out of their factory in 1977.  It looks today just about the same as it looked then.

The stock and forend are high-gloss checkered walnut.  It features a gold trigger and a beautifully and tastefully engraved receiver.  The manual safety is mounted at the top of the tang.  The bore is very clean and the barrels are extremely bright.  The action is silky smooth and the trigger is light and smooth.

The stock and forend are checkered and the checkering is sharp, showing no wear.  Overall condition of the wood is excellent with only light handling marks.  The recoil pad is very good to excellent.  The stock has no damage or loss of finish.  The forend is excellent with the exception of one very small chip on the rear of the right side, just forward of the receiver.  It's minor but we mention it to be complete in our description.

All metal, to include the trigger guard, receiver and barrels is like new.

Overall we'd rate this shotgun as excellent and a beautiful example of an older, lightly used Citori Skeet.  Honestly, it's a real eye-catcher and a fantastic looking gun!  We think it's a great find and, whether you're looking at this for a showpiece or one to have fun with, it will fill that role.  When you pass this along to the next generation, it will likely be the pride of their collection as well.

This is a consignment sale and, like all of our consignments, we have not test fired this gun.  We have, however, performed all function checks and find no issues as all.  As with all used firearm purchases, you should carefully review all of the photos so that you are fully comfortable with the condition of the gun.
