This 1974 Browning Citori Hunter comes to us as a consignment sale. It wears serial number 13246H47. The serial numbers on the receiver, barrels and forend all match.
The barrels are 26 inches in length and have a vent rib. The barrels are chambered for 2-3/4 inch shells. During this time period, many of the Citori models had fixed chokes. Both of these barrels are marked **$, which would indicate Skeet chokes on both. It appears that the mid-length bead on the barrel was removed at some point but the primary bead at the end of the muzzle remains and is in good shape.
The shotgun features a single selective trigger, a tang mounted safety, gold trigger and a checkered semi-pistol grip stock.
The bores on the shotgun are clean and the barrels are bright. The wood on the forearm is in Very Good condition but does show light signs of use. The buttstock is in Very Good condition but it also shows signs of use, as you’d expect. The Browning recoil pad is in Very Good condition. The receiver on this model does not have any engraving and remains in Very Good condition. As with the rest of the shotgun, the barrels show signs of use but have no major defects.
Overall, this is a very nice Browning that has use but not excessive use or abuse. It’s a vintage model with a lot of life in it and a reasonable price for a quality Browning!
Purchase includes the shotgun as shown and padded Browning hard case.
This is a consignment sale and, like all of our consignments, we have not test fired this shotgun. We have performed our function checks and find no issues. As with all pre-owned firearm purchases, please review the photos carefully so that you are fully comfortable with the condition of the shotgun.
