This consignment Browning BPS Field 12 Gauge came to us still in the original box.  The box is not pristine, the shotgun is.  The serial number of 05818PW152 would indicate a 1984 manufacture date.  We're pretty sure that this gun looked the same in 1984 as it does now.  It's amazingly well preserved.  The specific model (or code number, according to the box) is B50228.

This 12 Gauge shotgun is chambered for either 2-3/4" or 3" shells.  It features the Invector choke system and there is one choke in the gun.  We do not have any other chokes or the choke wrench.  The 22" barrel has a raised rib and a bead front sight.  Total capacity for the gun is 5 rounds.  There is a top tang safety at the rear of the receiver.  Double action bars accomplish ejecting and chambering rounds.  The recoil pad is made of rubber and features the Browning logo.  We'd estimate total weight of the gun at 7.5 pounds.  A gold trigger sits inside the trigger guard and the Browning buckmark is located on the underneath side of the trigger guard.

The checkered wood stock and forearm are in like new condition and are absolutely beautiful.  The finish of the barrel and receiver is also in like new condition.  If this gun has seen any use, it's been extremely minimal.  We'd rate the overall condition of the gun as Like New and think it's a beautiful and classic Browning that would be a great addition to your collection.

Your puchase includes the shotgun and the original box.  There is no manual.  That appears to have been lost to time.

This is a consignment gun and, like all of our consignment firearms, we have not test fired the gun.  We have performed all function checks and the only area that we note is that the safety moves with some difficulty.  We find no other issues.  Like all used firearm purchases, you should carefully view all of the photos so that you are completely comfortable with the condition of the gun.
