There's just something about Beretta shotguns.  Their strong reputation, their performance, the way that they hold their value . . . but the first thing that grabs you with this one is its looks.  It's just a beautiful shotgun!

This Beretta 686 Silver Pigeon I Over/Under is a 12 Gauge model with a 3 inch chamber.  The 30 inch vent rib barrels are topped by a 3/8" flat rib.  A bead and a white dot sight sits atop the rib.  The barrels are bright and shiny, the bore is clean.  The exterior of the barrels has no finish loss and no scratches.

A nickel finished receiver features beautiful scroll engraving and is like new.  A gold trigger compliments the look.  A tang safety/selector is located at the rear of the receiver.

The very attractive wood is finished with a matte appearance.  The checkered wood forearm is like new.  The Beretta recoil pad at the rear of the butt stock is also in like new condition.  The butt stock itself grades in very good condition with light handling marks.  There is, however, one portion of the stock that we need to call to your attention.  On the left side of the stock is an oval mark that measures approximately 3" long by 1-1/2" wide.  Very likely, this is where the original seller had placed some type of "sticker".  The current owner reports that the mark was there when he purchased the shotgun.  We're unsure if that area is a result of the adhesive residue or something else.  We have not attempted to clean that area but feel that we need to call it to your attention.

This shotgun appears to have been very lightly used and has probably had very few shells fired through it.  Overall, we'd rate the shotgun as Excellent condition.  It's a beautiful piece and an incredible add to any collection.  Performance, looks and the well-deserved Beretta reputation!
