This consignment sale of a Beretta 3901 Standard Synthetic shotgun is a really interesting piece.  Based on our research, this gun was likely produced in 2011 as a hunting shotgun with a 28" barrel.  At some point, the shotgun was modified for home defense.  The original barrel has been trimmed to 18.5 inches.  A two inch Picatinny rail has been added to the forward end of the receiver and would make a great spot to mount a dot or optic of your choice.  A six slot shell carrier has been added to the left side of the receiver and a Streamlight TLR-3 is mounted at the forward end of the forearm.  With the shortened barrel and the semi-automatic action, this Beretta makes a formidable weapon for protecting your home and family.

As this is a consignment gun, we have not fired it.  The function checks, however, are all correct.  The black synthetic stock is in near near condition and the forearm is the same.  The exterior of the barrel has only minor, honest wear and retains 98+% of its original finish.  The action, as with most Berettas, is very smooth.  The interior of the barrel looks as shiny as the day that it left the factory.  The internals are also bright and we find very little evidence of use.  Overall, we conside this shotgun to be in excellent condition.
