This uncommon pistol came into our shop as a consignment sale and it's a beautiful collector's piece!  Specifically, this is an Italian made Beretta 950B Jetfire.  It's chambered in 6.35mm or .25 ACP.  The serial number is G29218 and, based on the XXIV stamp on the frame, would put it as a 1968 manufactured pistol.

Beretta started making this model in 1952 and it was intended as a back-up weapon for undercover agents and police officers as it's lightweight and easily concealed.

The barrel is 2-3/8 inches and is a hinged, tip up barrel.  That makes it easy both to load and to clear.  It's a single action only blowback design.  The absence of a manual safety puts this at the tail end of the production run before Beretta added the manual safety.  The hammer does have a half-cock position but the design wasn't intended to use that as a safety.  The frame is an aluminum alloy while the barrel and slide are carbon steel.  The grips are a black plastic.

The frame has all of those Italian proof marks that you'd expect from an Italian-made Beretta.  The barrel is extremely bright and the rifling is strong.  The bore is clean and minty.  The grips show only the slightest bit of wear with the exception of a very small scuff on the lower right side grip panel.  The metal blued finish is Near Mint.  The original Beretta box is in Excellent condition.

Overall, this is a beautiful, vintage, Italian-made 950B that's still in Near Mint condition.  If you're a Beretta collector or want to become one, we don't know that you'll find a better example of this model.  Take a good look at the pictures and we think that you'll see the same thing that we did . . . a Beretta that will hold a very special place in your collection.

Purchase includes the pistol, (1) 8 round steel magazine, original box, manual and original Beretta tag.

This is a consignment sale and, like all of our consignments, we have not test fired this pistol.  We have, however, performed all function checks and find no issues to report.  As with all pre-owned firearm purchases, please review the photos carefully so that you are fully comfortable with the condition of the pistol.

Determined at checkout.
